How do I keep the PS5 from installing PS4 versions of games? | ResetEra

May 11,  · In some cases, PS4 random reboot problem is due to an issue with the internal hard drive. Games may crash, fail to load, or the PS4 may not boot up at all if the hard drive is defective. Estimated Reading Time: 6 mins Dec 04,  · Nov 27, #1. I have PS4 discs for Borderlands 3 and Maneater. I’ve installed the PS5 upgrade. In order to play the PS5 upgrade, you need the PS4 disc in the system. Unfortunately, my system will randomly decide it’s time to install a PS4 version of the game when the disc is in the system. I’d mind less if they weren’t taking Guys I need your help, cause my downloads keep stopping!!! Ok so i bought bf4 from the psn since is 5 euros. I let it download and i woke up in the morning seeing it had done only gb (which i usually do that in about 20 mins). I had experienced the same prob with nba 2k16, in which i had to constantly pause and unpause it

Discussion in ' General PS4 Discussion. PS4 Why do system updates keep downloading??? Joined: Nov 24, Messages: Likes Received: 29 Trophy Points: This is driving me nuts.

I have my PS4 set to NOT download any system updates at all. Yes every single time I power it up, the latest update begins downloading automatically. It does not install thankfully so I can just delete it, but why does it keep doing this?

In addition, ps4 randomly downloading games, I have numerous installed games that have updates downloaded and pending instal. If I try to start any of those updates however, I am asked if I want to update the system to use network features. EVERY time. Is this normal behavior? Had anyone else had this happen and figured out how to prevent it? I just want to be able to use my existing content, update the games, etc. without updating my system firmware. I'm holding out for a proper JB exploit so I don't want to update.

Already made the mistake of going past 5. Why does the PS4 ignore my settings that are supposed to prevent it from downloading system updates? SilkMar 17, Joined: Mar 8, Messages: 15, Likes Received: 6, Trophy Points: Gender: Male Location: The Great Gig in the Sky.

that seems to be normal. I own a JP system, and my good friend atrey owns an American one. both systems suffer from this problem. I'd suggest using a sandisk connect with the system. you'll be totally offline then. pinkyMar 17, that's really awful. Interesting what you say about using a Sandisk Connect. I actually happen to have one of those but I don't really see what it would have to do with a PS4. Wouldn't it just be like using any USB drive? Very curious to know more about what you mean there.

only plug it in if you're recharging. a lot of hen frontends allow for cache storing, so you won't need to redo anything unless you're updating payloads.

Thanks, unfortunately I'm afraid I don't know what that means. Is this something only for existing exploited systems? Mine is not. I'm still unclear on what a Connect would do for a PS4, ps4 randomly downloading games. you don't the sandisk connect to be very large. I think the one I have is 8GBs. you won't even need to turn the sandisk connect on after its first use, 'cause the payloads will be saved in cache.

you won't be connected to the internet though, ps4 randomly downloading games, so no game updates. I don't know what use for the device if not using on exploitable system. it will just keep you offline. the update files think there are 3 will be downloaded without your consent. there's another payload that blocks these files, but personally, I wouldn't take the chance. btw, you can install pkgs using an hdd.

I've never tried dumping a game with one, 'cause the payload for that is to shutdown the system once finished. that's a probably a good thing in case you're not paying attention. Joined: Feb 3, Messages: 4, Likes Received: 4, Trophy Points: Gender: Male Location: Poland. I have also everything turned off but firmware updates and app updates incoming automatically only game updates not I heard that if You live console in sleep mode downloading something, she will download and update fw without any permission.

BerionMar 17, I'm still totally confused on what you're talking about. Rip games? Isn't all of this only for exploited systems? If my system is completely OFW, is any of this useful to me? Is the Connect good for anything other than just being a USB drive? SilkMar 18, the sandisk connect ps4 randomly downloading games hold all payloads, then the system will hold the payloads in its cache. what it does is prevent an accidental system update. I'm not sure what to do if an update has finished downloading.

I think I read that you can now delete those, but it's tiresome. I've seen an error where any game you open tries to force an update. that is, until you reset the system. I prefer being offline to prevent those sorts of mistakes. hen is what you want to play backups. there's actually mira as well, ps4 randomly downloading games, which is supposed to be closer to cfw. however, I've heard of bugs with ps4 randomly downloading games i.

saves not working. there are other payloads like preventing updates from downloading as dumping the app. payloads do require an exploitable system. you can modify this with a txt file.

pinkyMar 18, ps4 randomly downloading games, OK so then none of what you're talking about is applicable to me since I don't have an exploited system, right? But until an exploit comes for post 6. Fingers crossed that we maybe see one this year. Yeah I'm going to wait for a proper full CFW jailbreak. I'm sure it's only a matter of time and I'm willing to not upgrade for a while longer.

Wishing I hadn't gone beyond 5, ps4 randomly downloading games. I almost didn't but then a friend really wanted to play a game together so I updated to 6, ps4 randomly downloading games. Maybe I'll get to a point where I can buy a second PS4 to keep updated, but at the moment money does not permit that. I wouldn't be so sure, but I admire Your optimism.

Anyway, You can blacklists update servers on router to permanently ps4 randomly downloading games online updates well, technically until they add new upd servers. pinky You cannot deploy any payload on non exploited OFW. BerionMar 18, Joined: Dec 7, Messages: 1, Ps4 randomly downloading games Received: 1, Trophy Points: Isn't that a job for charles proxy? psykosisMar 18, If You trust Charles Proxy. I prefer build-in universal solutions. I did write a tutorial for blocking system updates.

it will cause an error if you try downloading an update or accessing psn. it's probably overkill though. if you get a sandisk connect, you can just use that, ps4 randomly downloading games. the downside is accessing ps4 randomly downloading games hdd from a computer.

however, as I understand it, there's now a payload to access the hdd directly never used it. Joined: Mar 16, Messages: Likes Received: Trophy Points: 72 Gender: Male. Do you have Auto Updates OFF? AgoniMar 18, yes, the sandisk connect would be for deploying payloads.
